【特徴】
嘉永年間（約170年前）に製作されたとみられる、希少な甲冑一式です。巻物には「嘉永」と読める記述があり（画像参照）、当時の特徴をよく残す装飾や構造が確認できます。兜には立派な前立が付き、胴当て・小札・佩楯も丁寧に仕上げられています。また、背面の赤備えの陣羽織には銀糸で鶴の家紋が美しく刺繍されており、武家由来の品であることが伺えます。保存状態としては全体的に良好な部類に入ると思います。歴史的価値の高い逸品です。

Full Suit of Samurai Armor Late Edo Period (Kaei Era) Includes Jinbaori Coat, Storage Box, and Scroll

【Description】
This is a rare complete set of samurai armor believed to have been crafted during the Kaei era (approx. 170 years ago). A scroll included with the item contains the term “嘉永” (Kaei), confirming its historical timeframe (see photos). The armor features detailed craftsmanship and retains stylistic elements typical of that period. The helmet (kabuto) includes an impressive maedate (crest), and the cuirass, kozane (scales), and suneate (shin guards) are carefully constructed. The red jinbaori coat on the back features an embroidered crane family crest in silver thread, suggesting noble samurai lineage. Overall, the set is in relatively good condition for its age and represents a highly valuable historical artifact.

Considering its age of around 170 years, the armor remains in fairly good overall condition. However, there are signs of wear and damage consistent with age. Notably, the maedate on the helmet is broken (see photo #10, top left). The set shows signs of dirt, abrasions, and general aging. There may be additional minor damage or deterioration not identified due to amateur inspection. No cleaning or restoration has been performed out of respect for its original condition. Please consider purchasing only if you accept the current, as-is state.
