デビューアルバム「SATURATE BEFORE USING」から11th「LOOKING EAST」までの11枚のアルバムから選曲された(この時点での)初のベスト盤。長い間CD化が待たれた、フィービー・ケイツ出演の学園映画「初体験リッチモンド・ハイ」の主題歌「Somebody’s Baby=誰かが彼女を見つめている」も収録されています。尚、ライナー・ノーツ(画像8)を彼のフリークである浜田省吾が書いていて、昔よくラジオで話していた「僕のバンドは・・」「僕の事務所は・・」「僕の愛犬は・・」のくだりが微笑ましいです。また「僕が編集したら3枚組・・」と浜省が言うように代表曲の「Take It Easy」や「For America」が収録されていないのが少し淋しいです。
②は、
1986年に発売された通算8枚目のオリジナル・アルバム[LIVE IN THE BALANCE]発表時のライヴDVDでアルバム全8曲中7曲が演奏されています。独ロックパラスト(WDR)放送の画像も鮮明で録音がステレオなのもこの秀作LP時のライブが出ていない事を考えると貴重な音源と言えるでしょう。上着のジャケットの下のTシャツ柄が盟友デビット・リンドレーの顔がのぞき、ジャクソンのお茶目さを感じます。

It has been listened to twice.

① is the first best album (at this point) with songs selected from the 11 albums from the debut album "SATURATE BEFORE USING" to the 11th album "LOOKING EAST". It also includes "Somebody's Baby" the theme song of the school movie "First Experience at Richmond High" starring Phoebe Cates, which has been long awaited for CD release. The liner notes (Image 8) were written by Shogo Hamada, a fan of his, and it is nice to hear him talk about "My band...", "My agency...", and "My dog..." which he used to talk about on the radio. Also, as Shogo Hamada said, "If I edited it, it would be a three-disc set...", it is a little sad that his representative songs "Take It Easy" and "For America" are not included.
② is a live DVD from the release of his 8th original album [LIVE IN THE BALANCE] in 1986, in which 7 of the 8 songs on the album are performed. The image from the German Rockpalast (WDR) broadcast is clear, and the recording is in stereo, making this a valuable recording considering that no live performance from this masterpiece LP has been released. The T-shirt pattern underneath the jacket shows the face of his friend David Lindley, giving a sense of Jackson's playfulness.
