『本CDは、ザピーナッツが昭和34年に「可愛い花」でデビューしてからちょうど10周年目に当昭和43年末に発売された2枚組LP「ピーナッツ・ゴールデン・デラックス」からの編集盤です。円熟期を迎えたピーナッツのオリジナル曲と外国ヒット・ナンバーのカバー曲で構成されています。カバー曲を見る事により、当時の音楽状況を知る事ができますが、R＆Bから映画音楽、シャンソン、はたまたミュージカル・ナンバーまで幅広くこなしてしまうところなどは、ピーナッツのポピュラー歌手としての面目躍如といったところでしょう。-略-』

*尚、LP「ピーナッツ・ゴールデン・デラックス」からの未収録曲はいずれもシングル曲の5曲です。1968年と言えばGS全盛期でもありこのアルバムにもすぎやまこういち氏、鈴木邦彦氏、筒美京平氏、村井邦彦氏、平尾昌晃氏等当時のそうそうたる歌謡曲の作曲家メンバーがオリジナル曲を提供している点で、本作はピーナッツ円熟期を代表するアルバムと言えるでしょう。解散後20周年を迎えた1996年の記念盤CDです。

This CD is a compilation from the 2-disc LP "Peanuts Golden Deluxe" released at the end of 1968, exactly 10 years after The Peanuts debuted with "Kawaii Hana" in 1959. It consists of original songs by the Peanuts at their peak and covers of foreign hit songs. By listening to the cover songs, you can get an idea of the music scene at the time, but the fact that they can handle a wide range of songs from R&B to movie music, chanson, and even musical numbers shows that they are a popular singer of the Peanuts. -Omitted-

*The five songs not included on the LP "Peanuts Golden Deluxe" are all singles. 1968 was the heyday of GS, and this album also features original songs by some of the most famous pop song composers of the time, such as Koichi Sugiyama, Kunihiko Suzuki, Kyohei Tsutsumi, Kunihiko Murai, and Masaaki Hirao, making this album a representative album of the Peanuts' mature period. This is a commemorative CD from 1996, the 20th anniversary of the band's disbandment.
