①は、1992年に始まったGS=グループサウンズのCD化<カルトGSコレクション>から遅れること4年それまで企画に参加していなかった<RCAビクター>が同様にそれまで参加していなかった<キューティ・ポップ・コレクション>とセットでリリースしたオムニバスCDです。もともとRCAはGSブーム後期に「ザ・ブルー・インパルス」「シルクロード」「ザ・ベアーズ」「ザ・リード」「オリーブ」の5つのGSグループがありレア度の高い楽曲が多く、早めに<カルトGSコレクション>に参加して欲しかったと悔やまれるところです。本CDは、レアな歌謡音源をかき集めての苦渋のリリースといった感は否めないです。しかしラストシングルのみがRCAからリリースされたフィフィ・ザ・フリーの「限りなくあたえるもの」などこのCDでしか聴くことのできない(?)貴重な音源もあります。
②は、レコード店新星堂が企画した<渡辺プロダクション>関連のGSをレーベルを超えて収録したAMAZING GS シリーズの第三弾です。歌謡曲化したムードコーラスGSのテイクを集めた表題ですが、この盤でしか聴けないジ・アイドルス(with立花京子)の「嫁ゆかば」やオックスを結成する前の福井利男が在籍(作曲も)するザ・キングスの「アイ・ラヴ・ユー」などレアな音源が満載です。福井氏はオックスのアルバムでも3曲作曲していますが、いずれもこの路線です。ジャケットにもうひと工夫があれば購入意欲が増したCDです。

① is an omnibus CD released by RCA Victor, who had not participated in the project until the Cult GS Collection, which began in 1992, four years after the CD release of GS = Group Sounds, in a set with the Cutie Pop Collection, which had also not participated until then. Originally, RCA had five GS groups, "The Blue Impulse", "Silk Road", "The Bears", "The Lead", and "Olive", in the latter half of the GS boom, and many of their songs are rare, so it is regrettable that they did not participate in the Cult GS Collection sooner. There is no denying that this CD is a difficult release that scrapes together rare pop music. However, there are also valuable recordings that can only be heard on this CD, such as "Kagi ni ku Aseteru Mono" by Fifi the Free, whose last single was released by RCA.
② is the third installment of the AMAZING GS series, which was planned by the record store Shinseido and includes GS related to Watanabe Productions across labels. Although the title is a collection of mood chorus GS takes that have been turned into popular songs, it is packed with rare recordings such as "Yome Yukaba" by The Idols (with Kyoko Tachibana) that can only be heard on this album, and "I Love You" by The Kings, which Fukui Toshio was a member of (and composed) before forming Ox. Mr. Fukui also composed three songs for Ox albums, but they are all in this vein. If the jacket had been designed with a little more effort, I would have been more interested in purchasing this CD.
I am listing these items for sale as part of inventory cleanup, but I am sorry to say that I will not sell them separately. Please purchase as a set of two. They have been carefully stored, and although the discs are clean, they have been stored for a long time, so please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive about them.
